Farron was great, I absolutely loved him from the beginning while I didn't know quite what to think about Dayton. But that was just their surface level, they have a surprising amount of layers that are unveiled as the story goes. Kel has chosen a dance partner. He walks past me, arm held aloft, clutching Rosalina’s hand. It’s as if the entire ballroom takes a collective breath. “What in the realms is Prince Keldarion doing with that human?” my partner sneers. Kel sweeps Rosalina in his arms and the music slows, a passionate lilt filling the air. A small smile creeps over my lips. Inside, my chest eases for the first time all night. “He’s dancing,” I murmur, “with our girl.”

i’m being generous with 2/5. author may has a lot to learn in terms of their writing or they can dedicate themselves to marketing because there’s no other way this book got popular with the atrocity that was the world building and the characterization. ao3 has more heartbreaking, moving stories that are being published for free for no other reason than passion. this book proves that anyone can get anything published despite the bad writing as long as they have money.I´ve added some missing informations and added the book to the series: https://www.goodreads.com/series/36303..." We knew when we started the Beasts of the Briar series that Book 2 and beyond would focus on the realms and a specific prince! Woven by Gold is Farron's book. 🍂🍁 We added lots of fun tropes and spicy moments, but also wanted to look at the questions: "What does it look like to have courage?" and "What different forms can bravery take?" We're very proud of this book and the journey Rosie and her princes go on! We hope you enjoy your second visit to the Enchanted Vale and have fun exploring the Autumn realmlands! Some people call these guilty pleasure reads, but why should I feel guilt for wanting to escape to somewhere else, even for a little while?”world building? idk her. it was clear that the environment that the princes are placed is a second thought. the political schemes and the reason to throw a “ball” for the benefit of the princes without any kind of resolution was juvenile. i cannot care for the characters for how little of consequences was discussed throughout the book. it was rushed and inorganic like it was written to give the book a “conflict”. that conflict of said ball was created in the last third of the book like the editors had to remind the author that something has to happen relationships between the five princes have a thin foundation. i understand the next books is to develop it but it’s hard to believe that it would be anything more when the majority of the book is the inner dialogue of “he looks at her longingly at her full breasts and she is just so small and tiny” But it's not just my freedom on the line. If I don't break the princes' curse soon, all the magic in the Enchanted Vale will be stolen by the evil—and stupidly hot—Prince of Thorns. And I'm not letting my princes stay cursed.

There were a lot of recognizable elements such as, the iconic rose, the magical mirror, an enchanted castle, and the curse were all things I'd come to expect from Beauty and the Beast and the characters were spot on, Marigold was a hoot. However there were plenty of new elements or known elements with a twist, things like Beauty working in a bookstore, a missing mom, the Beasts are fae, there's the threat of the briar, shifters, seasonal courts, fated mates, and more. It's all familiar but new. I loved the lush descriptions, the writers really brought the world to life. Of course, the steam was good, I mean it should be with four fae princes but it was a slow burn. I could've used a little more heat between Rosa and the guys. Thankfully, it had a great plot as well as epic world-building. It was a joy to read.
