About this deal
One note: Card sleeves are a mass-produced, low-cost item. I have to imagine that quality can range from batch to batch and your results may not match my findings. We recommend only looking for a penny sleeve that is labeled as being acid free, non pvc, and made out of a high quality polypropylene material. Quantity Available from several manufacturers, the most important thing to look for when choosing card sleeves is to make sure they are acid free. When archiving and storing sports cards over long periods of time it is important that the material used to house the cards does not have any chemicals that could stain or discolor the cards themselves. That is why acid free sleeves are so important.

Why is polypropylene important in trading card industry?
Shellz offering is a “cut corner” penny sleeve with a very small notch cut out of the top corner of the sleeve. To accommodate the notch, the sleeve is slightly taller than the standard penny sleeve. The idea is that the notch makes it easier to slide the card in without damaging it. Ellie Miller is a full-time copy editor and writer for LifeSavvy’s articles. While Ultra Prod is a well-known brand, these were a new offering to me. These are made of polypropylene and have no PVC or acid. The original "Penny Sleeves", Ultra PRO's clear Soft Trading Card Sleeves protect your valuable trading cards and gaming cards during sorting and gameplay.Acid is your enemy. It may sound geeky, but acid can harm your trading cards. Acid is everywhere. In wood, in plastic even in our skin. So you can’t beat it. The best thing you can do is to try to wisely protect from this evil giant. Acid free materials do not contain acid (duh!). You might be surprised, but if you do not see an “acid free” label, the card sleeve probably contains plastic material that contains acid. These are the same size as the Ultra Pro standard sleeves, to the point where if you told me they were made at the same factory, I wouldn’t doubt it. Despite this, I actually found these ever so slightly easier to load a card into than the Ultra Pro offerings. Our collection of sleeves for your regular usage caters high-quality, cheap and value-for-money requirements.
