The TomTom Go 6000 boasts a new chassis, a new interface and a whole new way of working. But should TomTom be fixing things that weren't obviously broken in the first place? This unit was a disappointment. If you want to use traffic updates, you have to connect it to your cellphone. I guess that’s because traffic info from the internet is more accurate but it’s a lot of hassle to keep both devices synced up. Stay away from it!!!!! This is probably the worst GPS ever created. If you rely on GPS alone and are not vigilant, you will most likely get into an accident. Several times, that GPS took me to low bridge areas. Moreover, it took me to rivers, dead-ends and bridges as my destinations. The posted speed limit is not accurate a lot of times. Thank God it shut off completely after three (3) months of usage. If there were penal laws for bad GPS, this one would probably be on death row. Lol. Just kidding a bit!!!!

Joining up with saved routes : When you select a route in My Routes, you can choose between driving to the starting point or to the point closest to your current location.

See your favourite locations on the map. Personalise your map with My Places so you can easily find and navigate to your favourite locations again and again. We have implemented a workaround for users with unstable Bluetooth connectivity which will enable them to use live services again (TomTom Traffic and Speed Camera Alerts) and to sync content from the MyDrive app. Immediate directions occupy a thin lozenge at the top of the screen, with a similar lozenge at the bottom for the speed limit and your current speed.

This update enables users to select 'Turn off' after disconnecting their device from a power source.TomTom hasn't limited the improvements to the Go 6000 to the hardware side of things either, as the interface has enjoyed a significant overhaul. The new interface is dominated by the main navigation screen, with a thin column on the right of the screen that shows you delays on your route along with the distance to your destination along with your ETA.
